I secretly use my wife’s skin care products. Think she’ll get mad if she finds out?

Anonymous
For the past year I’ve been using my wife’s skin care products from moisturizing what I assume to be waters to serums to facial moisturizer to eye creams. Thus far my favorite is probably SK II while La Mer is probably 2nd. Anything with ceramide I’ve found to be reallllllly good for my skin. I’ve also used the twist capsules with snail mucin 🐌 which were really good.

Do you think she’ll notice? Will she care? I am very careful too. I make sure I know exactly how jars were placed and even take photos with my phone so I can put everything back exactly as I found it so you’ll never know it was moved. She currently thinks I have good skin because I exercise and have a healthy diet.

Doubt she’d care but why not just buy your own? If you’re married you’re not paying for it anyways.

I don’t want your gross fingers on my stuff! Ahem.

Just buy your own jars of it. Share the things that are easy to share. And REPLACE the thing when they get low.

Are you a man? Are you borrowing other bits of her wardrobe to wear privately?

I would be annoyed if my DH did this. Buy your own damn stuff!!

If you’re using such expensive products and not replacing them, I could see her being a little bummed out. I bet she’d be excited if you expressed your interest.

Do you know how much Le Mer costs? I would be mad.

You absolutely should not be sharing products that go around your eyes. ESPECIALLY if you;re putting your fingers in there. You should not be doing that anyway, even for your personal supply. Eye infections are easy to contract and get serious fast. I only put sterile q-tips into my jars, some people use little spatulas.

The order of application matters for skincare products. you might be putting a product on top of another product that will actually block absorbtion of the first one. or you could be mixing products that shouldn't be used together. Do you know this stuff? Ceramide is pretty tough to mess up, but you need to know what you're doing with retinols and any of the vitamin derivatives or you risk skin damage.

Hah I have to quickly run over and rub tretinoin and other serums on my dhs face while he runs away. He deals with it but would never put it on himself. I’d love it if he took the initiative. Or Botox…. I’m dying to Botox his forehead.

I actually secretly know about the order because I've listened to my wife talk about it so much. She has no idea I was taking mental notes.

And what is the spatula coming in contact with? Does it sterilize itself?

To be honest, she'll probably be more furious when you eventually come out of the closet.

That's why you clean it with rubbing alcohol before and after use. It's almost undoubtedly clearer after I use it every time!
