Call it what you want, but not having to deal with b.s. alliances sounds like a win to me in the long run for McLean.

Honestly, that "alliance" was frustrating for McLean. MV controlled who gets in and LO (MV was her mentor) was going to rubber stamp whatever he wanted. Thus, VYS got the lions share of slots undeservedly. I would have done the same if I were McLean's management... staying in FVU was a losing battle. Any new member of FVU better have more authority to deal with this control.

Sorry your MYS girl didn’t make FVU last year, but you are wrong. For 2012, VYS beat both MYS and BRYC twice in the U12 year, so “undeservedly” doesn’t really stand up. Also, there is only one more VYS than MYS former player on the FVU roster - again, hardly the “lions share.” For 2011, even though LO had been the 2011 coach at BRAVE, about 2/3 of the team comes from old Union. Both teams have worked hard to come together this year as FVU — it’s petty parents on the outside trying to sow discord.

Everyone knows the VYS feeder to FVU is horrible. We’ll see how the 2013 does. If they get the big numbers in FVU again they should rename FVU to MVU after MV.

What on earth are you talking about? Multiple 2010 FVU girls that are in pool for the USWNT came through Brave / VYS.

What are you talking about? Any kid in the US National Team camp can hardly say one of these clubs really developed them as a player. All these players are doing an incredible amount of outside the club training with clinics, trainers, private coaches and fitness routines. It's laughable. We are at top brand team and I swear, the coaches just benefit from which talented and motivated families show up. This year our club's training has consisted of about 80% scrimmaging. The kids that are doing amazing things on the team learned none of those things at the club level. Heck, some of these kids have connections outside the club with USNT scouts. Clubs like Brave and Vienna Youth Soccer have little to do with it other than providing a platform to play.

Not a Vienna parent. But will say this pretty much describes every club in the area.

Except McLean girls, we develop our own talent and are the best in the state, if not the country.

Does developing talent include stealing better players from Vienna? The theft ends now with your club’s brilliant move to GA.

Don’t be mad your own club couldn’t keep the few good players that you had.

Nothing to do with the league ECNL hat, has to do with coaches CW and DB taking them there

Until Union goes GA. Still not understanding why no one comprehends that this is happening. All it takes is some research.
