Current site is much larger than the FBI site. |
The federal Commission on Fine Arts and the National Capital Planning Commission would not allow a sports arena to be wedged into ceremonial Pennsylvania Ave, nor should they. |
| Because of the crime situation, DC will have to overpay to keep the teams. As it is, Ted will get more from VA. |
No, I am stating reality that a lot of the existing fan base - most actually, even those who live in Fairfax and points west and north - will not try to go to weeknight games at Potomac Yards. It is terrible road and transit infrastructure with no obvious solutions. |
Route 1 is already a car traffic nightmare. There is no "handling" it because it is already bumper to bumper most nights. I will just spend my entertainment dollars somewhere else while the taxpayer of Alexandria are left to cover the shortfall. |
DC doesn't own the FBI site. It will take an act of Congress to make the transfer from the Federal Government to the District. Same with RFK. She cannot offer what she doesn't own or control. |
the "failing shopping center" according to the owners of Clydes, is doing great. |
This is true! |
| The amount of Butt Hutt hurt in here from DC losers is hilarious. |
LOL, you won't be singing the same tune when the Alexandria finances are devastated by being the bag-holders on this deal. |
And it’s not just on Sen Carson’s staff. |
Wait, first you're butt hurt that it's leaving DC and now you want to convince Alexandrians that it's a bad thing? LOL. Which is it, buddy? |
Not they don’t. Majority of them live in Arlington/McLean/Great Falls. Holtby might be back there but then again he’s a former Cap now |
Wrong. |

This is awesome!! Opens up the entire market north of the Potomac to the NHL Chesapeake Blue Crabs on middle branch or Curtis bay right off 95 south of Camden yards!!! It will instantly be one of the most valuable nhl teams in the league and even pull fans from Delaware and Norfolk. |
