Older women dating younger men: where did you meet your significant other?

Anonymous
TLDR: For those women who have had successful long-term relationship with younger men, where did you meet your partner? If online, which apps? If in real life, what locations? Would love to hear your experience!

Background: I'm a 38 yo divorced mom (50% custody), slender and good looking. Most people would guess I'm in my 20s or around 30. I'm usually attracted to guys around 30 - so 5-10 years younger than me, not really a huge gap. My last boyfriend is six years younger than me and we met in real life. He is way more mature than most 40 yo single guys I've met.

I should also add I'm looking for long-term relationship (even though I'm not against hookup), and I'm open to having more kids. I don't need any guy's money but I also don't want any guy dating me for my money. I've been using Bumble and Hinge (setting my age range to 28-43) but overall I seem to have better luck meeting guys in person.

I am glad to see women doing what men have always done. But it may not be for you though. Personally I don’t think a 38 years old woman would want to date the kind of man I was at 30. At that age I would see you just a someone to have plenty of sex with.

MILF alert, where are the hiring boys at? You may want to lower that age to perhaps 24 so you have an even bigger pool of young men to choose from lol.

Men say the same exact thing about younger women lol. It’s a common cliche that people seeking younger people use.

Are 30 yo men more mature than 40 yo men? Not necessarily. Are 30 yo SINGLE men more mature than 40 yo SINGLE men? In my experience YES. B/c in DMV where most well educated people get married around 30, there are still plenty of mature and family-oriented single guys around 30. Single, never-married guys around 40, on the other hand, tend to be immature, or players, or not financially established, or super picky, or a combination of the above. Occasionally there are good divorced men around 40 but it's not very common in this area.

My friend (39) just got divorced from her husband of 10 years, met a 26yo, and moved cross country to be with him near his parents house...

I was once a 30 years old single guy. And I hate it to break it to you but some of the attributes you applied to 40 years single men applied to me back then.

There is nothing magical about these invoke young men you are taking about. Yes they may last longer in bed and have higher libido but they are still men with the same faults that men regardless of age have.

Adding they met at an airport

I dated a younger guy for about a year. I was 49 and he was 42.

It is very interesting. Older women HATE men who date much younger women, they really do. They genuinely despise them and take it personal. Yet these same women are now moving cross country to date a man perhaps less than a decade older than their oldest son. Interesting.

Fear of being alone? Need to feel younger? Or, want to be love bombed and pampered all over again like when she was in her early 20s? Who knows…

I am 40 newly divorced and dating a 28 years old and we met on Hinge. He is so handsome, romantic, kind and mature. He doesn’t make a lot, but I don’t care about that because I make plenty of money on my own. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to date a man around my age or older if this relationship doesn’t work.

No idea where to meet younger men but I would like to know all the secrets to being 38 but looking 20 or 30. I could use some good tips and tricks as I am about your age, also divorced and looking to date younger. The 40 year old men I’ve met on bumble haven’t worked out so I need to try something different.

I am 46 divorced 3 years and my ex wife is 49. I have been dating a 31 years old lady and my ex wife told our daughter that my gf is “disgusting”.

What do you guys even talk about?

Trust me, younger people watch stupid TV shows and gripe about their co-workers just like you do.
