I let my weight creep up on me after six months of bad habits due to personal issues. I went from about 120 to 140.
I am so frustrated. I only realized because none of my clothes fit. It’s largely contained to my gut but I wouldn’t mind toning up all over. Anyone know how to do this fairly quickly, like 4-6 weeks? Obviously starving myself and exercising two hours a day is not the answer but I would like to be able to wear my clothes again. |
Do you want to lose it fast, or do you want to lose it sustainably? You can only choose one.
|
I am pretty sure I gained it due to drinking a bottle of wine a night when I got laid off during a divorce so I’m fairly certain if I lose it quickly and then just don’t go back to drinking a bottle of wine a night I should be good. |
No, actually this is the answer, if you’re trying to lose 20 lbs in 4-6 week. Though I don’t recommend it. |
y So stop drinking. That will help. |
I have but it’s not working? |
You need to get down to around 1500 cal a day to do this or get close in that amount of time. Most people don't have the discipline to do commit to this because it's too hard. But, that's what you'll need to do. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. |
And btw before anyone says anything snarky or mean, please don’t. I’ve never struggled with my weight before. Ever. This is really freaking hard and upsetting and idk what to do. |
Counting calories never worked for me. Tried it for two years. When I did Keto, the weight melted away. Try that. But I do believe that different approaches work for different people. |
High protein and fats.
Very little bread and pasta. No sugar. Lots of walking and weight training. |
Dinner 6-7pm. Not eating anything until 12-1 pm. Exercise in the morning. Don't eat junk when you are allowed to eat. Lots of water, veggies, protein. You will lose 10 and take your time with the other 10. |
Thank you. I appreciate the helpful response |
How tall are you? What other bad habits besides the wine? Be careful when you cut this out you don’t transfer your craving to more carbs. |
Switch to a high protein vegan diet for a month (or Whole 30 if you think gluten is a problem). All while exercising and counting calories. Walk a lot. |
And any time you find yourself thinking about wine, go for a 1 mile walk or drop and give yourself 50 pushups or sit ups. |
