Would you date a man who orders takeout every night, for the week?

My good friend is dating a guy who orders takeout for the week every Saturday: he gets sushi on Saturday, Chinese for Sunday/Monday, pizza for Tuesday/Wed, and Greek on Thursday - and goes out on Friday. He's super friendly and nice but it seems SO WEIRD. Is this, a thing, people do??

I wouldn’t date someone who can’t (or won’t) cook.

All at once?

I mean we do take out about 4 times a week in our family.

Same. Super unappealing.

Yep!

My father didn’t cook before he married my mother and he was/is a great husband.

It is a little extreme, but yes, people do this nowadays.

It just makes me think of pukes of trash and bags, plastic forks and leftover littke soy sauce/ketchup bags. Gives me anxiety.

I'm sort of seeing someone who doesn't cook and eats out all the time. He has some other red flags, too, but he has many good points and I'm trying not to be too judgy. So I guess my answer is yes, I would date such a man.

This is very common among single city dwellers with busy jobs. We all managed to settle down eventually into our suburban lives, cooking 5-6x a week

^ But ordering a week’s worth of takeout at once is weird. At least order it fresh every night!

I’m sure she meant piles of trash.
That’s a lot of anxiety tho, worse than a lot of takeout.

I don’t think it’s weird. It’s not what I would do, but it wouldn’t be a red flag for me. Maybe a yellow flag at most, as I’d want to evaluate whether there were other signs that he was bad with money, but if he can reasonably afford to eat out every meal, I wouldn’t care.
