ROADS ARE BAD STAY HOME!!!!

Anonymous
Cars sliding into ditches, hitting each other, sliding into trees all seen in 1/4 mile stretch on 236..insane. let them treat the roads. Be safe stay home. Wish I had known it was this bad.

Sorry but they wont be treating the roads, the chemicals already washed off and its still snowing. Too late.

Where is the 236

What makes it bad is that it’s so fine that it actually is sticking, but it’s not registering to people as “bad.” They think because there’s no fat flakes and obvious accumulation that it’s fine. I agree, it’s not. And what’s more, the people who don’t get it are the ones out and about, so bad things are going to happen!

They might try and throw sand down now.

Its not that bad at all. I have been out and about since 8am. Driver slower than usual, keep a longer distance between each car and be on alert more.

But it's ok, they drive a big SUV and don't need to clear all the windows.

I have a big SUV and just got home and it’s slippery out there (NoVA). They had treated the roads yesterday but I guess it has all washed away by now.

ETA cars are trying to go too fast because the roads look clear.

My son had his first drive in snow this afternoon. It was in DC, though, so roads were fine and people weren't driving like madmen.

Now the sun is setting, roads are icing over, so please drive home slowly, everyone.
