Never would I want a daughter to be part of this garbage. SMU is in Texas land that hates women. Great college choice. NO Texas is not safe for any women much less college students. Where do you think your kid is getting a job after SMU? LOL parents wasted monies. |

| Oh my goodness. I googled and watched some TikTok videos which blew my mind. Then came upon a bunch of videos by a woman who breaks down the cost of each outfit. These girls are wearing sneakers that cost $1k, jewelry that totals $5k and up, some very pricey outfits too. I don't get it - I have a very healthy household income and my college kid wears clothes from Target and LLBean. |

She grew up in Midland and was pretty middle class though. She was a Theta at SMU but it wasn't because she was rich - she probably had a hs friend in the sorority. She was pretty normal and was not a Bush until she was 30ish. That said, SMU is nuts now. It has always been the USC of Texas but now it seems to have national appeal. Yes it is in HP and some HP kids go there but the kids come from all over. And yes, it is Dallas-type money not Tuscaloosa-type money. Much more sophisticated. |
