I don't think she was intentionally trying to ram someone, but she could have easily hit the officer who was in front of her car.

She did hit him. He had to go to the hospital after.

She was trying to escape and didn't care if anybody got run over. Use of deadly force is legally justified if the LEO feels he/she is in an imminent threat of substantial bodily injury or death.

Not if the LEO intentionally puts themselves in danger in direct defiance of their training and department policy, which is what this ICE ‘officer’ did by standing in front of a running, moving vehicle. He created the danger, the use of force r isn’t justified and certainly not the two head shots point blank through the driver side window as the vehicle moves past him and he is in NO DANGER.

This ICE ‘officer’ committed murder in broad daylight on video and we can all see that - those of us who are rational and know the law, like other law enforcement officers and former and current prosecutors like me.

Because the murderer is a federal agent, should the state of Minnesota bring criminal charges the US Attorney has the power to invoke the supremacy clause, remove any state prosecution to federal court and summarily dismiss the charges. Or any federal prosecution that successfully achieved conviction could be immediately pardoned by the current WH resident.

I would suggest given that there is no statute of limitations on murder that Minnesota take it’s time on the investigation and file charges on January 21, 2029.

Yes, the ice agent had already put his hand on the gun trying to block the vehicle when it was in reverse. He had zero intention to let this poor woman drive away. Either they dragged her out of the car or kill.

She was playing games blocking traffic prior to this event.

The only thing they could have done better is use vehicles to box her in and drag the itch out.

Hopefully they will make it a priority to arrest and prosecute anyone who does what she did that day going forward.

These are federal law enforcement officers with arrest powers. Most of these protestors don’t realize this so they act like spoiled brats.

Even if she was blocking traffic (she wasn't impeding it, cars were going by, but she was certainly in the road), it is still murder to shoot her. Did she deserve to be arrested? You could make a case for that. But shooting her is murder.

Are you just going to ignore her attempted murder of an officer?

Are you going to continue to lie about that?

It's extremely clear on the video. If that officer was a step slower, he would be dead

Ok, so yes...you are going to continue to lie about it.

He shot her from the side of the car. Cars do not move sideways.

There is literally a bullet hole in her front windshield. Nice try.

Ballistic will be telling. You can shot a front windshield from the side of a car, especially the spot in the pictures

My guess, ICE loses the vehicle

The police should have taken the vehicle into custody

They said there will be no investigation. Can they take someone’s property into evidence if there is no investigation?

Then that is that

But don't any of the Trumpers call this thug an "officer." There are rules for police not this loser

Gov Walz said the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating.

Sadly, it won't matter. Even if the shooter is ever charged, goes to trial, and is found guilty (a big "if"), he will promptly be pardoned by Trump. And MAGA will start a GoFundMe for him.

State charges.

State cannot file State "charges" against a federal agent for an act that was done while in the commission of his or her duties. There will not be any State charges. Federal charges or discipline is possible but will not happen in this case since it looks like the driver disobeyed LEO's repeated commands and tried to escape which put federal agent in the left front of her vehicle in danger of being run over.

Any state officials attempting to bring State charges can be arrested by federal agents under federal statutes and, federal statutes TRUMP state laws per US Constitution.

Repeated orders to move? And then get shot in the face for it? How does that work exactly?

Repeated orders to get out of the vehicle which she disobeyed.

There were CLEARLY conflicting orders being issued. And even at that, there is ZERO cause to shoot her in the face for pulling away.

He wasn't in front of her, he was never at risk. Just stop lying. We can all see what happened with our eyes.

She attempted to murder a federal agent by running him over with her 3 ton SUV. It’s on the video.

Yes, it's on the video. One that you clearly have not watched.

Try attempted murder of a federal law enforcement officer with her car.

All this gun talk, when you know Trump or Noem would not have been able to keep their mouth shut about it

Makes me think Trumpers are going to plant one in her car

Fleeing is illegal, and it is more illegal if you have to drive into an ICE agent to do it, which she did. And if he had been a mind reader, he would have known she was fleeing, but instead, all the information he had was that a criminal suspect was driving her car into him at the moment.

Fleeing would not earn you a death sentence

If only the ICE officer wasn't a complete snowflake.

Unfortunately we now see this is most of the population of grown adult white men in this country. And presumably they're raising their sons to be just like them. Murica bay-beeeeeee!!!!

This is stupid.

If the conduct is clearly unlawful and not authorized by federal law, like murdering a woman in the street, they can be taken into custody. Just because you are in the process of performing official duties doesn’t mean that you get to do whatever you want.

This is like the dummies arguing that California can’t ban their shame masks.

Most people are not so easily flustered that they would drive away from an LEO. Perhaps you should not be driving if getting a ticket scares you that much.

Exactly this. I've been pulled over a few times for minor traffic things over the years, and during those initial moments when the lights are flashing and I pull over to the side over the road, my heart's racing, adrenaline's flowing, I'm not thinking clearly, etc.
