ICE Shooting in Minneapolis

From the front angle it shows that the officer was indeed in front of the car as it approached. In fact it looks as if he may have actually been briefly hit, if not actually hit.the car came within inches of hitting him.

And when did the shot leave the gun

If after, then what?

They have interviewed police officers that have said that if this ice agent was in their precinct, they’d already be in jail. This isn’t how police officers are trained.

Psychopaths. Probably beat their wives too.

I mean, yes?

Do you really think people like this integrate seamlessly back into society?

What do you mean, men beat their wives all the time. they already live within our society: poor men, middle class, and wealthy men. It’s accepted.

Trump can’t pardon a conviction for a state crime.

How can anyone watch this and say he wasn’t hit?

That video is blurry and more importantly, speed up to make the car appear as if it’s moving faster. Why do you all keep posting this when there are clearer videos from better angles?

Why do you keep denying she hit him with her car when it's clear as day on every piece of video out there?

There may be a second complication here that isn’t being considered. Did the second agent who was confronting the driver have his hand or hands inside the window? Did it look like he was going to be stuck to the car as it drove away? I wonder if this may have played at all in the shooter’s perceptions of risk.

For me, I understand that in any circumstances with LEOs or enforcement agents you are facing people with guns who are in a risky situation for themselves. Just relax and follow direction. I hope the investigation here is thorough. And the shooter doesn’t receive any special treatment. This will happen again though.

Not to Kristi Noem. Stop lying. You are making a fool of yourself.

This is very scary because it could be any one of us going about our day when menacing ICE thugs show up. This country is going to hell.

It’s not less clear; watch the NYT video.

Which video is front? The blurry one through the trees is not from the front, the angle does not provide clarity on where his body was in relation to the car and in some case, it’s been intentionally speed up.

I don't think she was intentionally trying to ram someone, but she could have easily hit the officer who was in front of her car.

She did hit him. He had to go to the hospital after.

She was trying to escape and didn't care if anybody got run over. Use of deadly force is legally justified if the LEO feels he/she is in an imminent threat of substantial bodily injury or death.

Not if the LEO intentionally puts themselves in danger in direct defiance of their training and department policy, which is what this ICE ‘officer’ did by standing in front of a running, moving vehicle. He created the danger, the use of force r isn’t justified and certainly not the two head shots point blank through the driver side window as the vehicle moves past him and he is in NO DANGER.

This ICE ‘officer’ committed murder in broad daylight on video and we can all see that - those of us who are rational and know the law, like other law enforcement officers and former and current prosecutors like me.

Because the murderer is a federal agent, should the state of Minnesota bring criminal charges the US Attorney has the power to invoke the supremacy clause, remove any state prosecution to federal court and summarily dismiss the charges. Or any federal prosecution that successfully achieved conviction could be immediately pardoned by the current WH resident.

I would suggest given that there is no statute of limitations on murder that Minnesota take it’s time on the investigation and file charges on January 21, 2029.

Yes, the ice agent had already put his hand on the gun trying to block the vehicle when it was in reverse. He had zero intention to let this poor woman drive away. Either they dragged her out of the car or kill.

She was playing games blocking traffic prior to this event.

The only thing they could have done better is use vehicles to box her in and drag the itch out.

Hopefully they will make it a priority to arrest and prosecute anyone who does what she did that day going forward.

These are federal law enforcement officers with arrest powers. Most of these protestors don’t realize this so they act like spoiled brats.

Even if she was blocking traffic (she wasn't impeding it, cars were going by, but she was certainly in the road), it is still murder to shoot her. Did she deserve to be arrested? You could make a case for that. But shooting her is murder.

Are you just going to ignore her attempted murder of an officer?

While that's a wild mischaracterization of the events shown in the video, for the sake of the argument, let's go with it.

The officer stepped out of the way, THEN shot her. The officer was no longer in danger at the time he fired the gun.

And you should never shoot someone that attempts to murder you?

If the threat has passed, then yes. Otherwise you become the murderer.

She was still operating the weapon

She also had a hand gun in her vehicle.

Can anyone confirm this?

If it’s true she went to an anti-ICE riot armed to the teeth with guns, it changes everything.

Armed to the teeth? C'mon, you playing the part of the clown doesn't help here.

Did she bring a gun to the riot or not?

This is what Grok says:

Multiple sources across outlets (e.g., NYT, CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, MPR News, Minnesota Reformer) detail the event involving her vehicle as the alleged threat, but none mention a firearm in her possession or in the car. The focus is solely on the vehicle-related claims and the shooting itself. If a gun had been present, it likely would have been highlighted in justifications or reports, but it is absent from all available accounts. The investigation is ongoing, but as of now, this claim appears unfounded.

They are just trying to blame shift to the victim.

Are you going to continue to lie about that?

It's extremely clear on the video. If that officer was a step slower, he would be dead

Ok, so yes...you are going to continue to lie about it.

He shot her from the side of the car. Cars do not move sideways.

There is literally a bullet hole in her front windshield. Nice try.

Ballistic will be telling. You can shot a front windshield from the side of a car, especially the spot in the pictures

My guess, ICE loses the vehicle

The police should have taken the vehicle into custody

They said there will be no investigation. Can they take someone’s property into evidence if there is no investigation?

Then that is that

But don't any of the Trumpers call this thug an "officer." There are rules for police not this loser

Gov Walz said the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating.

Sadly, it won't matter. Even if the shooter is ever charged, goes to trial, and is found guilty (a big "if"), he will promptly be pardoned by Trump. And MAGA will start a GoFundMe for him.

State charges.

State cannot file State "charges" against a federal agent for an act that was done while in the commission of his or her duties. There will not be any State charges. Federal charges or discipline is possible but will not happen in this case since it looks like the driver disobeyed LEO's repeated commands and tried to escape which put federal agent in the left front of her vehicle in danger of being run over.

Any state officials attempting to bring State charges can be arrested by federal agents under federal statutes and, federal statutes TRUMP state laws per US Constitution.

Your point is what?

You can't give people guns tell them they have no rules in how they treat humans (illegals) even cheer on the cruelty and expect the to actually be useful to society afterwards.

If that was the gun man’s reason for shooting, that is incredibly reckless. He could have easily shot the officer next to the window.
