I'm definitely making apple pie and pumpkin pie, but I need ideas for a 3rd pie. I'm feeling stuck!
In the past, I've made pecan, but I've never been 100% satisfied with the various recipes I've tried. The brown butter pecan pie recipe I saw in the Post today looks promising though. The past few years, I've made chess or lemon chess, but I'm not sure I'm feeling those this year. Any other ideas? We're not really a chocolate family, but any other suggestions are welcome! |

I must admit: I think pumpkin, apple, and pecan are the perfect triumvirate.
Give the Post recipe a try! |
I'm trying out cranberry pie this year. I can't give a review yet, but it sounds good and the visual is stunning.

+1 were it me, I would do chocolate cream pie |
Oooh this looks good! Sort of like key lime, but fall flavors. I vote for this one! |

I do like pecan, so maybe I will try the Post’s recipe. And wow, that cranberry pie is gorgeous!
Thanks! |
| I'm making cherry pie this year. It's a bit tart, which is a nice complement to a big meal. |
| I will agree n the cranberry curd tart. I made one last year and it was fabulous. I used a NYT recipe. |

French walnut tart! Same vein as a pecan pie but so so much better. And no gross corn syrup.

Thanks so much for suggesting this; not the OP, but I am going to give this pie a go. I really like that website, too—her recipes have solved problems for me in the past! |
| Cut the sugar and everything will be fine. |
| A cherry crisp would be perfect here. |
| I was thinking something like a peach gallette or maybe pear and cranberry |
