In addition to the more traditional Thanksgiving pies, I always make a key lime pie. The one I make is chiffon-style, with a graham cracker crust and whipped cream rather than meringue.
It always disappears before any other dessert.

I make pecan, pumpkin and chocolate chess. The kids like the "brownie pie" as they call it. I tried chocolate silk last year, but I need the refrigerator space so going back to chess. Recipe is

I tried this exact recipe before, and it is so, soooooooooo insanely good. It's a lot different too than a traditional pie because the crust is a lightly sweet tart crust almost because there is so much butter in it.

I’m going to do The NY Times maple nutmeg pie that’s floated around here for a few years. It always sounded so good and I finally am tasked with a dessert.

I prefer fruit pies ( don’t like pumpkin pies). The pp’s cherry pie sounds good.

I’m making Oreo cream pie for the kids in addition to pecan and apple pie with caramel pecan topping.

I would consider a cheesecake, honestly. It would offer variety, and it still is closer to a pie than "cake".

We often have a pumpkin swirl cheesecake. Pumpkin cheesecake, topped with regular vanilla with a small swirl.

I know this isn’t what you had in mind, but Edward’s Chocolate Creme Pie in the frozen foods section is excellent and I think better than most chocolate cream pies I’ve had.

I’m a food snob and this is excellent. Hydrogenated oils and all. I would definitely get this over any pie from Costco or grocery store bakery, if you want easy. If nothing else, the kids will be all over it
