| Good lord. WHY? I truly don't get the mindset. It's so intrusive. |
| They all have personality disorders. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. I can't watch those shows anymore. |
| They think it's easy money. They want to show off (their body, their house, their marriage, their lifestyle). They want people to be jealous of them. They see it as a stepping stone to some other goal they have. |
| Fame. |
|
They want to leverage it to make money, which some portion of them do quite well.
And lots of people want to be famous. |
| This question goes hand-in-hand with the reaction I had when I used to watch it: "Why on EARTH would anyone behave that way??" |
|
Why on earth would anyone watch that?
Is the corollary. |
| I’ve wondered the same. I am an acquaintance with someone who did one of these shows and she’s been mocked mercilessly. I also know someone else who I’m fairly certain is “auditioning” for one of these shows. It’s really clear in her social media posts that she’s striving for that kind of lifestyle. Boggles the mind. |
| Why on earth would anyone watch it? I know someone who is educated who watches that junk. |
What are some of the signs you've seen? |
|
If you have no discernable talent, it's a way to pretty easy way to attain money and fame.
|
| if anyone I know says they watch this, I think less of them. |
The same reason people rubberneck around car accidents. People are nosey. |
| I ran in the same circles of few people that were cast members and friends of cast for one of the franchises. I also knew two people that claim they were asked but turned it down, one equally as well as the castmate. I really couldn't tell you the difference between the two people. |
Sure Jan. |
