Will Woodward high school in North Bethesda/South Rockville be an automatic "W School" when it opens?? |
Yes-- that is why they didn't change the name
|
Yes but it will not be the Cornell of W schools because that role is already taken. |
No more than Watkins Mill |
Yes, it is pulling students from other W schools |
I mean, it starts with a W, so...
- Graduate of "the" W school who thinks the whole W school thing is ridiculous |
lol. Well played. |
Not to mention the DCC’s Wheaton. I live in the Einstein cluster and am just as happy not to be part of the W clique or wannabes. |
Yes, unless they give it a different name that doesn't start with W. Also, there is no such thing as "South Rockville," either you are within the boundaries of Rockville or you aren't. https://www.rockvillemd.gov/683/City-Maps |
Wannabe High School would also be a "W School." |
Yes, it was considered in the same peer group back in the day and will be again. |
Yes, as above, it had an excellent reputation then, and will remain the same when it reopens |
They haven’t gone through the naming process yet. When they reopened Belt MS it got renamed to Loiederman. The real question is what criteria will DCUM insist on to consider it a W? Name? Demographics? Test scores? |
The Woodward family, who donated the land for the school, have insisted that the Woodward name remain. Remember Tilden at Woodward? They could do that, but the Woodward name will remain |
Enough already with the W obsession |
