| I am so tired from work AND that we had an out of town funeral yesterday with our baby. My husband announced that my in laws would be parking their car at our house before going out of town - and I was under the impression that they were going to wave and be off. They’re in my living room right now and I just can’t: I’m drained, I’m wearing my pajamas, and I just don’t have it in me. Please tell me that’s okay. |

Put on your oxygen mask first.
You’re fine. Don’t give it another thought. |
| You don't have to be "on". Can't you go about your business as usual, as in preparing dinner, tending to the baby? Act normal and show no fear. |
| It is 100% okay. Rest up. |
| “I’m not feeling well - I’m going to go lie down.” |
| Totally okay! I feel your migraine coming on from way over here! |
| They’ve been here for almost an hour now. I’m hungry. I’m thirsty. They didn’t tell us they were visiting. I’m really annoyed. |
Grow up. |
Found the rude, pushy in-law. |
Do you often go places unannounced…for an hour? |
Can you text DH to come bring you a drink and a snack and apologize but you have a migraine? |
Go about your business as if they’re not there. Maybe they’ll get the hint. |
| Go in in your pajamas, say hi, I am sorry I am not feeling great and would rather not spread the virus, get some food and drinks and go back to the bedroom. |
| Pretend you’re on a work call, there are YouTube videos you can play that sound like a legit work conversation. |
Highly unoriginal response. |
