| Is it weird to wear shorts on an airplane? I think yes. En route to Dulles to fly cross country, and DH is in shorts. |
| It’s weird to care what other people wear. If he’s comfortable what’s the big deal? |
| OP: rephrasing question. Not “is it weird” but would you do it. |
|
Is DH from the Midwest? My spouse will wear shorts anywhere he can.
It’s better than them getting all hot and smelly on the plane. |
| I wouldn't because I don't like my bare skin touching airplane seats but I don't care if other people do. |
I wouldn’t but only because I’m always freezing in airports/on planes. Otherwise I definitely would. |
| Why would it be weird to wear shorts on a plane? My DH and DS do it all the time. I don't often wear shorts on a plane but I do wear dresses and skirts when I fly in the summer. |
| I wear shorts on planes all the time. Am a 50 year old woman. Why is it weird? |
| It's not weird at all, unless you are flying on Air Force One. Have you seen people dress to travel OP? just be comfortable, nobody cares. |
This. The thought of my bare skin on the seat grosses me out, but I don't care what others do. |
| I grew up with a stepmom who insisted I would be cold anytime I left the house so I always had pants and a sweater with me. As an adult, I’ve realized she’s insane and I wear whatever I want and do just fine. I work across the south, so shorts are just fine most of the year. |
No. I never wear shorts. |
|
Planes are cold. It's weird.
(And as a former NTSB employee I'll point out that shorts are less safe in an emergency.) |
I bring layers for the plane. I would rather be a little cold than broiling hot in a stuffy plane, personally, if I had to choose. |
| I wear it all the time but i am a guy. i didn't realize this bothers people |
