| I've been slowly swapping out meat for fish in my family's diet. Just curious, what are your favorite fishes/seafoods? Do you have beloved seafood recipes that you could share? I struggle a little bit because my husband really likes highly flavorful meals, and fish in and of itself tends to be a bit blander than lamb/beef/pork, so the preparations are key. |

This is SO easy and restaurant quality good. Add equal parts dijon mustard and brown sugar to a little bowl. Throw in a rough chopped clove of garlic. Whisk until it turns into a glaze. Broil until the glaze is bubbly and starts to slightly brown. I like to serve with an earthy veg- roasted Brussels, honey roasted carrots, roasted broccolini- and mashed or sweet potatoes.
Zestly lime, shrimp, avocado salad from Skinny Taste is great. So is their Salmon Coconut Curry recipe. Fish tacos or fish taco bowls are easy and popular in our house because they can pack flavor with Mexican spices, lime, cilantro, etc. Mussels are super easy. Get some butter, shallots, garlic, red pepper flakes sautéing in a dutch oven, add a craft beer, dump in mussels and cover for 5 minutes until they're open. Discard ones that didn't open. |

Very simple stuff: Scallops sautéed in butter with a bit of garlic; pan seared salmon with Japanese barbecue sauce — or even just Old Bay; steamed shrimp with Old Bay; batter fried cod for fish and chips; lobster rolls; crab cakes; salmon cakes; shrimp salad. All of these are easy, and emphasize the flavor of the seafood. I also like various kinds of smoked salmon, smoked sable, whitefish salad, even smoked clams and oysters.
For lots of flavor, try seafood gumbo, or just keep garlic butter, Old Bay, and Japanese Barbecue Sauce handy, and start with sturdier fish — like salmon. |

I love fish. I find that if you cook the fish with the skin on on a skillet with some butter, salt and a bit of garlic is usually the best.
I also like heavily flavored food, so you could do side dishes that are more heavily flavored. |
Salmon also handles teriyaki siracha really well. That would probably be popular with OP's husband. |

I throw Trader Joe’s seafood mix (frozen product) into kimchi fried rice.
Poach white fish but in a vegetable soup. Tinned sardines are good in pasta. |
| I make fish soup for myself. I don't expect my family to like it though. Flounder with carrots, celery, maybe potatoes, rice, even corn, dill, cilantro. I love the warm liquid, nothing creamy or heavy. |

Salmon teriyaki baked in parchment
Scallops sautéed in garlic butter Shrimp pan fried in EVOO with garlic and red pepper flakes Green curry mussels Cioppino (fish and seafood soup) Salad nicoise |
| I do a cajun fish every other week. Google "cajun spice mix" and put it on any fish you like. Couldn't be easier. |

I make shrimp diavola https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq_M-CUvToO/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
garlic shrimp, shrimp & grits, coconut shrimp, shirmp gratin and would say all of those are flavourful. I love tuna but don't cook it often at home - do make a lot of tuna salad though. I also make salmon pretty regularly: Agrodolce salmon https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/katie-lee/agrodolce-salmon-12273514 Panko crusted salmon https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/panko-crusted-salmon-recipe-2107225 Salmon with dill cream sauce https://www.instagram.com/p/CsRZ7i4pt85/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Sherried salmon with shallots |
| Use tandoori marinade (mixed with yogurt and a squeeze of lemon juice) on salmon - comes out really good! |
| My challenge with fish is finding good quality fish. The stuff at grocery stores doesn’t seem good most of the time. |
| Due to our kids' tastebuds, we mostly stick with salmon (brown sugar, soy sauce, miso) and tilapia (breaded with parm) with some shrimp or cod thrown in there on occasion. |
