Sadines, anchovies, mackerel, herring, trout, pilchard are my favs.
You don't need a lot, just eat with a little bread or right of the jar with olive oil. If cooking, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and maybe a little dill. Flip over and broil the skin so it's crispy. You don't need a lot of ingredients. Fish flavors should speak for themselves. |

I love seafood, we have it once a week. Here are my favorite recipes, I've included different kinds/flavors for you to get you started! There are so many though and experimenting is fun. Planning to write a fish taco recipe soon, which would be Halibut broiled in the oven until browned on top, tortilla with a chipotle mayonnaise (mayo mixed with any thicker chili sauce you have, habenero/jalapeno would be ideal), store bought pickled cabbage and some fresh cilantro. Doesn't get simpler and tastier. You could experiment with different fish too, I want to try Red Snapper, and Salmon for this.

| I make Cajun Shrimp Pasta recipe that is quick and easy. I get medium to large shrimp and sauté with Emil's cajun spices and then make very thin spaghetti and mix together with heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Top w/ red pepper flakes and a squeeze of lemon. I add vegetables as well like asparagus or broccoli. |
