I am going to aplaud Whoopi because she knows him and obviously knows that he is not a bad person but someone who has a problem with anger and most likely has mental issues. I am sorry-everyone has had some kind of espisode somewhere that they said some kind of stupid thing--he was obviously in a bad relationship with a woman who trapped him and he was acting out--wrong yes but to paint the "racist" brush..I don't like that. I felt the same way when Alec Baldwin got caught "losing it" with his daughter-eveyone was so offended but really?? You can't remember once in your life where a parent lost it and said "out of bounds" things?

Um, no. That "N" word is outrageous and I would never even think to say it out of anger, or out of anything else for that matter. It wasn't just the use of the word, but the context in which he said it. Who thinks up those types of things other than those who have a deep-rooted hatred of others?
