In tweet #9, she says that Flynn lied because the "truth" would have severe political costs for the Trump administration. That makes no sense, because the prosecutors already knew "the truth", and Flynn himself said he knew that the calls were monitored. In tweet #10, she says that Flynn lied because the "truth" could have exposed him, the transition team members, and Trump to criminal charges. Yet, she then says that "Flynn was likely unaware of exactly what statutes may have been violated". She is basically saying that he lied as part of a conspiracy to cover up crimes by Trump and "the transition team members". This belongs over in the conspiracy theory thread. |

Because, her premise is wrong: she is asking WHY Flynn lied. That was the charge in the guilty plea, but Flynn is now withdrawing that plea. And, since there is also discrepancy in the documents and evidence of severe bias on the part of the investigators (and the Special Counsel office), it is questionable that he lied. There is also some evidence that he was coerced into the plea. Therefore, her whole thread may be based on a falsehood. |
