It’s all part of the martyrization.

Yeah, I know the person who killed him is a lunatic but like...do you not realize killing people you disagree with doesn't make their rhetoric go away? He's a martyr now.

He’s not a martyr. He’s a victim of gun violence. What would he possibly be a martyr for?

I don’t think that it was any of those, but it doesn’t strike me as unlikely that a random person would be able to get on a roof, run across, lay down, set up a rifle, and shoot him in the neck from 200 yards away without being an extremely well trained shooter.

I agree 100%. Does not mean anything with regard to intent.

The GOP will make him one

I guess death cults need martyrs.

Again, can anyone please provide any evidence that Kirk was considered a potential presidential candidate before these tragic events? Because I am both very online and extremely politically aware and I never saw this.

Same. I’ve never once heard his name floated. Also, LOL that the guy is mad at the organizers…that was Charlie. He organized it.
I'd never even heard of Charlie Kirk before today.

Same.

It’s because you are an old boomer without an X account getting your news from CNN. Why do I waste my time speaking to people who live in a bubble?

He isn’t famous outside of the internet MAGA realm and colleges. Most people don’t know him.

+1 I guess I had heard his name, but I couldn’t have told you why. (Not a Boomer, no CNN.)

For what?! Being willing to die to save the 2A he loved?!?! I don’t get it.

I really hate MAGA; but I really hate the people who are celebrating this murder. Go to Hell.

Some (not me) think the deep state hates MAGA/trump and is responsible.

If we're going to start doing it for every political commentator, we have to do it for EVERY political commentator.

And the children gunned down EVERY SINGLE DAY in America.

For me it was bc he was a decent man who stood up for his beliefs. Watch his debates. He engages with people that clearly hate him and he does so with respect. His platform centered around engaging young people in discussions.

I will miss his charisma and how articulate he was.

Yes. This.

Aren’t they currently “the deep state” that doesn’t even make sense.

because they need to find a patsy and haven't identified them, yet.

I’m starting to believe Kirk was the patsy. His death was the warning to keep others in line.
