No no, PPs.

Chesebro stupidly rejected a first plea deal, and now is saying" Wait let me see that again" after Powell's surprise guilt yesterday! Let's hope prosecution makes him understand he made a mistake, with a less favorable deal.

It couldn't be more delicious.

Do you know what the first plea deal was? I read the one he accepted was one felony worth one to five years in prison in exchange for truthful testimony.

Probably of a similar type as Powell's.

CHESEBRO PLEA: Guilty to 1 count of Conspiracy to Commit Filing False Documents with 5 years of probation, a $5000 fine, 100 hours of Community Service, an apology letter, truthful testimony, provide documents and evidence to the State.

He is being sentenced to Georgia's First Offender Act.

He is pleading guilty to Count 15 of the original Indictment.

FYI: This the first guilty plea to a felony thus far in this case.

Does anyone have a good link that tracks all the co-defendants and where they stand?

The only other one who has pleaded guilty besides Powell and Chesebro is the bail bondsman Scott Hall.

But this is great for the prosecution. The October speedy trial date will have pushed them to get prepared. Now they have additional evidence without having to spend that extra time extracting it.

They’ve frightened three witnesses into plea deals. It’s going to get very real for the additional defendants as their respective lawyers explain that the best plea deals happen early and that the window is closing.

Isn’t that window already closed?

It closed early for Powell and Chesebro because they requested a speedy trial. The others aren’t due for trial for a while - I think March? The date is in this thread somewhere.

And keep in mind, the testimony Powell and Chesebro will give may directly implicate many of the other defendants -- more reason for them to flip.

Anyone who goes to prison for Donald Trump is too stupid to be walking free.

Speaking of too stupid to be walking free…

Does Trump's statement mean that nothing he discussed with Powell or in her presence gets any attorney client privilege? Anything about interfering with Arizona, PA etc?
