He already rejected a plea deal involving no jail time. https://abcnews.go.com/US/kenneth-chesebro-rejected-plea-offer-ahead-georgia-election/story?id=104121621 |
I think the felony would get him disbarred, so there is a cost to him. |
I think they said it was a video proffer. |
I'd guess he's happy that she took the deal. He didn't want to get tried alongside her since she's such a whack job. Now he's got his own trial. His role as outlined in the GA indictment is actually very small-- basically writing a memo-- and I'm guessing his strategy will revolve around pointing that out. |
Not sure how they could introduce that and not have her testify live. 6th amendment and all. |
Of course. (wasn't the point) |
Not sure how the Nuremberg defense will work out for him. Plus there will be a lot to establish at this trial so I would guess Georgia will put the A team out. But. His right to a trial of course. |
"I definitely hope we get to see her testify live, but she’s apparently already written a proffer that will be part of the record." |
...followed by a clarification that it was apparently video. Not saying they would use that. Just fixing one word. OK? We good now? |
|
No no, PPs. Chesebro stupidly rejected a first plea deal, and now is saying" Wait let me see that again" after Powell's surprise guilt yesterday! Let's hope prosecution makes him understand he made a mistake, with a less favorable deal. It couldn't be more delicious. |
| And Cheseboro took a plea. |
| This looks good for trump! |
|
It's almost as if Fani Willis knew what she was doing when she charged all these people.
Donald Trump is in deep doo-doo. |
Do you know what the first plea deal was? I read the one he accepted was one felony worth one to five years in prison in exchange for truthful testimony. |
I don't know. If the defense puts her on the stand, maybe she could make things even worse.
