| If you’re Jewish or grew up going to bat mitzvahs, watch this! The Sandler kids are very talented and this hit close to home. |
|
We watched it tonight and thought it was cute. The sister and her friend were great as was Mateo.
My teen thought the writers handed the script to a 15 year old to make sure the dialogue was right. She approved. |
| Just watched it with my 11 year old who enjoyed it. I only laughed a few times. The younger daughter is a more natural actress than the older one. |
| It was really good. |
| Pretty good. Liked the Rabbi. |
| Watched it last night & it was good! Felt like they actually had teenage girls involved in script, seemed realistic. |

Watched it with my daughter. It was such a lovely experience. It was funny but also opened doors to important conversations. I'm glad we got it in before school starts. |
| The Sandler kids are talented. My daughter and I loved it. We are not jewish but she has attended a few bat mitzvahs. |
Watched it this weekend. I definitely did NOT cry at the bat mitzvah entrance at the end of the movie.
Question: I saw that Sarah Silverman is listed in the cast but didn't see her in the movie. Who/where is she? |
| We're not Jewish but loved the themes. My new middle schooler has been dealing with the long time friend migrating to the cool kids group and hasn't been handling it with grace. I could tell this movie resonated with them. It's going to be a classic teen movie. |
Also really enjoyed it. But also had the same Q re Sara Silverman! |
| Have never attended a Bat Mitzvah nor do I know anyone Jewish (I live in the midwest). What are they like? what do ppl do? |
The ones that are held in hotel ballrooms/country club venues are just like a wedding. People eat, drink, and dance. MC will play games with the kids on the dance floor. If they're held at more kid friendly places, then the kids do the activity and the adults socialize. |
The movie wasn't far off the mark right down to everyone using the same corny DJ. |
There are Jewish people in the Midwest. My cousin married a jewish guy from Ohio. She transplanted him to NY of course. So now there are 25% fewer Jewish people there.
