| They have jarred minced garlic which I've gotten once now, and it's okay though very watery. I just found out they sell frozen garlic cubes. How do those get used? Are those better than the jar? I am very stupid and not at all a good cook, so no information you can give is too simple. |
| I think the frozen cubes are a better substitute for freshly chopped garlic—they don’t get the weird oil flavor that the jarred stuff has sometimes. |

What's wrong with regular clove garlic?
If it's too much work, get a $5 garlic press. |

Frozen garlic cubes are great for things cooked in a pan/casserole- chili, sauces, etc. Add them to the pan and they “melt” quickly.
if I’m making something like a dressing that uses garlic - I’ll chop up the cube into little pieces before putting it into a blender. Works fine. I love the cubes for when I’m out of fresh garlic or really need to save time. Even better- they have frozen ginger cubes too and we use those way more often. |

NP. There's nothing wrong with regular garlic. But it's so much faster just to grab a frozen cube and plop it in the pan. Or grab the jar of chopped garlic and spoon it out. |
I prefer regular garlic too, but I like having the freezer garlic in case I happen to be out and didn't realize it. |
Right—and sometimes I grab my garlic and it’s old or honestly I just don’t feel like chopping it and getting my hands all stinky, or I’m in a hurry, or whatever. Or maybe OP or someone has arthritis or an injury that makes it difficult to mince garlic. Nothing wrong with using this at all—of course on DCUM people will try to shame you for anything. |

I love TJ’s frozen garlic cubes! In addition to the previously mentioned frozen ginger cubes, they also have basil, also very useful in particular dishes. They used to carry cilantro, which I loved, but I haven’t seen that in ages.

I can't cut up garlic, and have a very small kitchen so don't buy kitchen gadgets. But I have plenty of room in my fridge and freezer. |
I always use fresh garlic, but my mom and sister (Korean) buy jar garlic from the Korean grocery store. Korean cooking requires a ton of garlic. But, jar garlic don't taste as good. I'm going to try the frozen ones people are talking about for emergencies. Never thought about it, but it's a great idea. |
+1 to all of this. As someone else mentioned above as a possibility, I have severe arthritis, and my weak, gnarly hands have a lot of trouble with the garlic press. |
| I want to check out the garlic cubes! I buy minces garlic in water because I can't stand the smell of garlic on my fingers. |

Anytime I chop garlic, my wife tells me I stink -- all night long.
Jar works fine. I just use more. |
| The cubes are fantastic, much better than the jars. |
