The Jeff Zients memo has got people discussing the quality of Call Your Mother bagels. So what’s your DC fav? I will go first: Bullfrog, hands down.

Bethesda Bagels. I think Call Your Mother’s bagels are generally mediocre, but I like their Asiago cheese bagel sandwich with jalapeño cheddar cream cheese and fried shallots.

I always come back to Bullfrog. I appreciate CYM atypical flavors but the texture doesn’t do it for me.

For us newbies , what makes one bagel better or worse than another.
For these favorite places, why are they good?

I was really disappointed in Call Your Mother. Bethesda Bagels are probably the best near me but I’m not overly enthused. The best by far we’re Bagel City. I was sad they closed.
