The Trump Women and their Fashion Mishaps - Part Three

It looked a little too high school prom for my tastes, far too sparkly, but it did look nice on her. Melania and Ivanka's dresses were very elegant.

She looked beautiful and the gown was custom. It was daring (for American fashion tbh, Americans are less daring, esp first ladies) and unusual for an inaugural gown. It’s hard to pull off a choker and Melania did. She trended less colonial and more continental today, and it’s disconcerting to some of the hayseeds.

Ivanka followed suit. They both looked fantastic.

Why is Vanky doing these modeling poses?

Why is she even in the spotlight alone? She's daughter of the President. I don't remember any other family members celebrating their association with the inaugural person to this extent - of any presidency.

Melania’s, the first thought was it is too similar to her previous inaugural gown for me and would have rather seen something less similar to last time. The fit seems good at least and I am not a fan of chokers. Hard not to see an arrow or think of Trump’s weather Sharpie but maybe that is partly because I am looking at just another white column for her again.

Copy of Audrey Hepburn. It’s a beautiful dress, worked for her.

That’s what I thought of too. Vanky does not have original ideas when it comes to fashion.

Serena Joy - that is all i see.

I am surprised I quite like this gown. It is sleek and dare I say it, elegant. Although as usual she has on too much makeup and too much hair.

This is a stunning gown. Truly exquisite but as usual Ivanka makes it look tacky. Is it the bleach blonde hair? The diamond necklace? Heavy makeup?

We really need to have a discussion about why they are pursuing some of this iconography but for me I am going to have too much of a stressful day at work to put my heart into it. But one of you smart, stylish people really need to share your thoughts on what is going on here.

I think Ivanka is too costume. But I like Melania’s ball dress.

It must really burn the sons to have Ivanka on the stage.

Did anyone bring up Melania’s oversized hat obscuring her face during the inauguration? Maybe it shaded the two bible she held for her husband to put his hand on when he was sworn in - causing him to forget?

Anyway the hat was incredibly distracting - it looked like she was auditioning for The Hamburglar or Soy V Soy cartoons.

Wow this is an iconic dress I am very familiar with but I didn't recognize it on Ivanka because she made it look basic and tacky.

I do not think it suits her body type, in particular. She is too busty for it. Also I haven't seen a single photo where Ivanka is working the overskirt properly -- in the stair photo I thought it was just a regular ballgown. Elsewhere you can see the underskirt but it makes her look wide and awkward instead of elegant. I think her jewelry is tacky and it looks so much better with the white gloves here. I also think the Grace Kelly hair with the Audrey Hepburn dress is way to cosplay and she should have either done something more interesting with her hair and makeup to freshen this up or worn another dress altogether.

Ivanka knocked it out of the park.

(Her earlier green outfit though…. Totally cosplaying Kate Middleton. I think wearing her camel coat inside was also following Kate Middleton’s penchant for coat dresses).

Ivanka looks like a human mannequin. Her proportions are all off. Her plastic surgery is a travesty. Just so unnatural looking, so bad. Ugh

Can we have a discussion about why the Trump women who are literal billionaires and grew up with access to the finest ateliers since birth are so...tacky? How can you even make a famous gown Audrey Hepburn wore tacky?

I don't like Mel's hair. it looks flat. Big and bouncy would be better.

YES! Absolutely.

The photo of Ivanka is at a really bad angle for a dress that has a rise in front.
