It's because she's relatively young and has a fab figure. It should be sooo easy to look good with what she's dealing with and with her resources, but she somehow manages to look crappier than half the moms heading into the office from the school drop-off line. It's kind of a feat? Like, "I'm at least at the Karen Pence level!" Is a pretty low bar for someone with herr natural good looks and a good 25+ year age advantage.

Can someone explain what’s so great about Usha’s figure? She’s thin and not particularly shapely. What am I missing? Is thin enough to qualify as “fab?” And to be sure, I think complaints about her bad fashion are exaggerated but so is praise about her figure.

It's also not "fair" that her hair went grey early. I think all she needs is a brown rinse, under eye concealer and to wear jewel tones, or just stay away from the brown/beige family. Those colors look great on many people, but she is not one of them. Or even just blues if she wants to keep it easy. I also think she could rock red but clearly she's not into calling attention to herself.

This sounds about right...though she would need more than concealer, also corrector. It's a little more work, but not much. Most of her clothes would also benefit from a little bit of tailoring, but that's step 2

Umm I didn’t pick Emhoff, Pence and Biden out of a hat. They are the last three Second Ladies / Second Gents. The point i was trying to make back to the PP is, Usha isn’t playing some major role in our government that requires her to look anything other than presentable. She’s not “representing the country” in any substantive way. I don’t even think she gets paid.

(And I’m not above critiquing her, there’s a lot she could do with her looks if she wanted to… but I don’t think she gives af and that’s fine).

I don't think she needs to look perfect. But she looks pretty bad most of the time.

Huh. I totally disagree. I think she looks very nice. I don't think I've ever seen her look "pretty bad". Maybe the beige dress and sandals at the RNC, but that's about it.

NP. Disagree. If she just wore concealer it would be a massive improvement. She could look really great, but her hair and undereye circles are really dragging the entire look. I don't even have anything again gray hair, but if you want to keep your hair gray, it's more effort because gray is wiry hair.

As a very pale white woman, I know all about undereye circles. We just use concealer and go on with our day. I need a lot more work than Usha to look good. My eyelashes and brows are blonde and I look completely washed out without makeup. People actually will do a double take if I'm not wearing makeup because I look like an alien (or maybe half albino).

No idea. I also saw someone comment here once that she's just sooooooo petite she probably can't buy off the rack. Meanwhile she doesn't look particularly small next to her 6'1" husband; if I had to guess I'd say she's about 5'6" and a 2-4.

I remember that one and I felt bad for her. It looked like they sent out a 24 year old Trumpy aide to pick something and they came back with that. Not at all good for her age or her figure. She would have done way better with just a dress from Talbots and some pumps for nordstrom’s. The first admin kept trying to give people trashy 20 year old glow ups and it was awful — like when Sarah Huckaber Sanders showed up with those barrel curls and clown makeup.
This time around Noem got that glow up and she looks so ridiculous it’s painful.
