Ukrainian victory over Russia is inevitable

The funny thing is that as recently as thirty years ago, anyone from the former USSR space was a "Russian" in America. I remember it took special pains to explain to people that there were such things as Armenians, Tajiks, Ukrainians, Uzbeks etc. I mean people nodded and all, but you could see it was all casse-tete chinoise to them.

Very funny to remember that in the context of the current chest-beating of "they are Ukrainians! not Russians!" , as if anyone in America could tell them apart.

Zelensky should realize that at the end of the day the US isn’t going to sacrifice New York for Kyiv, Los Angeles for Odesa, Chicago for Kherson, etc. We’ll hit a limit on what aid we provide.

I think the nuclear threat remains under-appreciated, and I fear Putin will have no qualms about launching an attack if he finds himself in a no-win situation. Ukraine be damned. The Russian people be damned. The world be damned.

Oh, c’mon. We’ve been feeding Ukraine intelligence, strategy, weapons, and equipment from nearly since the invasion’s beginning. It’s the only reason they’ve been able to fend off Russia.

We haven't been telling Ukraine what to do, except for certain limitations on using weapons like HIMARS (and now F-16s) on targets within Russia. We share intelligence and training, but that's giving information, not orders.
