I love the decor of this Baltimore house

I know some of it is the wood trim, but I also love the colors, art, furniture, comfort, etc. Love love love. Not moving to Canton but if I were 25 with a great job it would be a done deal.

I like a lot of it. I hate kitchens without cabinets. Sure, it's light and airy, but where do you put your glasses and dishes? It's bullshit. I hate design trends that are disguises for developers saving $$.

It’s in Riverside, not Canton…totally different area.

But walking distance to Ekiben? I would consider buying this house.

It's very nice. Similar to many houses on Capitol Hill, but of course much less expensive.

Agree with PP about the kitchen cabinets - there is really limited storage in the kitchen.

I have a kitchen full of open shelving similar to this one and love it, and I did it myself (not a developer). Glasses go on open upper shelves, and our dishes go in a hutch on one side of the kitchen (similar layout to the one in this house, just imagine a shallow breakfront on the one wall without cabinets -- that's where all our dishes go. Pots and pans go in lower cabinets.

We made the choice because of the position of the kitchen in the house and the desire to maximize natural light into the room from the one window and adjacent rooms. Ditching the upper cabinets opened up the room a ton and I actually really love the look because with the hutch and the upper open shelves, it just feels very welcoming and more like an extension of our living room. It also allows us to keep some plants in the kitchen.

Everyone loves hanging out in our kitchen and I enjoy cooking there.

Wow. I love it too. I live in a rowhouse in Shaw. We have a cozy and colorful vibe punctuated by mcm furniture, but this is more elevated. Love it.

Wow I was not expecting that! Gorgeous!

I like the trim, floors, bathroom tile. exposed brick. All those textures are great.

The decor itself looks very Home Goods to me, but whatever floats your boat.

Agree with this exactly. Really nice house but I don’t like the decor at all. It looks bought vs collected.

I mean, I think the furniture and accessories likely are from a stager, so yes, kind of Home Goods level. It's a 480k house, so they aren't going to stage it with super high end stuff.

But I'd include the the trim, floors, wallpaper, brick, cabinetry, lighting etc. in "decor" and none of that looks "Home Goods" to me. One thing I like about it is that isn't that "modern farmhouse" style that is so common on HGTV and in a lot of staged homes and new builds. The woodwork and the chandeliers, the coffered ceilings, and the paint, flooring, and finish choices all reflect a more unique, maximalist, European-influenced style. It feels so refreshing after seeing so many farmhouse sinks, exposed wooden beams, and neutral gray walls over the last 10 years or so.

If it's a stager, I want to hire him/her! OP here. I don't know why I assumed this was Canton, btw.

I actually prefer Riverside to Canton in many ways. I think there is an okay zoned elementary near there, plus it's walking distance to Fed Hill/the harbor without being in them (I wouldn't want to live right in Fed Hill). And super close to Locust Point which is a nice neighborhood with some good restaurants and bars and a nice vibe.

Canton is all 20-somethings plus it floods really easily. I'd live there right out of college but no 30+.

Def staged but not bad for that.

But these types of photos always give me a headache with all the weird lenses and angles they must use to try to get it to look bigger.

That’s not a stager. Way too much stuff and little things around. I think they just really cleaned up for photos.
