I tracked all my calories this week and realized I’m drinking a whopping extra 1,300 calories in just coffee creamer every morning. That’s pretty appalling but I drink a giant mug of coffee every morning and I like it very sweet
I’ve been using the Chobani creamers because they have very few ingredients and don’t hurt my stomach- that’s the main thing. I need something that won’t make me nauseous Not a big fan of almond milk. But open to try anything else! Low cal and low fat! |
I used to drink it really sweet, then I stopped cold and added half and half only. It’s much healthier. The taste is totally different, but good. |
I lost 15 pounds after I stopped putting milk and creamer and drank my coffee black, no sugar, just the coffee. Milk adds a ton of fat and calories. |
I love fat free milk. And no sugar. You get protein and calcium and Vitamin D with milk. |
Have you tried to change from liking it very sweet to drinking dark coffee with cream? I think the fat plus sugar of most creamers is a lot, but if you can take out either the fat (and just add plain sugar) or sugar (and just add plain cream) it cuts the calories. I made this switch about 5 years ago and now can’t stand the taste of sweetener in coffee. Your palate adjusts.
I do drink a lot of coffee, and the calories in the cream add up. I just make cuts elsewhere - dessert for me needs to be fruit, for example. |

I use 30 calorie almond milk instead of water and stevia. I always loved really creamy coffee, and this allows me to have all the creaminess and sweetness. |
1300? No possible way OP. There is something wrong with how you're inputting the info into your app, has to be. I use Coffee Mate Powder, 4 tsp (yes I know it's a lot but I like what I like) and one tbsp of heavy cream. That comes to whopping 80 calories.

I use the Silk Oatmilk Oatmeal Cookie creamer.
It's not "light" but I love it. |
I use a premier protein shake as creamer - either vanilla or cafe au lait. Fairlife also has some good vanilla protein shakes you could try. |

I use one ounce of full fat Lactaid milk in my coffee. I would never degrade my coffee- it is my most enjoyable part of my morning . |
I’m close to you… about 1200 calories a week. I just gave up breakfast foods and drink coffee instead. It makes me so happy and keeps me full until lunch! |
I use walnut milk. No carbs or artificial anything. Ingredients are just walnuts and water. It is delicious and creamy in coffee and heathy fat. 8oz is 130 calories. I don’t track how much I use daily, but no where near 8 oz |
