40 minute commute to Vienna from Alexandria, and back. Observed the following:
- 3 cars with MD tags throw their cigarettes out the window - 3 vehicles go 3 lanes over in seconds, so they don't miss their exit - 2 cars cutting the exit line by driving on the shoulder - countless MD drivers going slow in the left lane on various roads (495, GW parkway. Rt. 7, etc) - all of the above without their lights on in the rain, obviously Honestly, wtf is going on with MD drivers? It's getting absurd. |
| Yeah, it’s not just Maryland. |
Of course it's not *just* Maryland, but Maryland drivers dominate, hard. |
| Oh, shut up. So tired of this stupid trope. |
Maybe on the Virginia side of the river, but on the MD side, I see most of the transgressions from drivers with Virginia plates. Perhaps it's just that people tend to be more reckless when they are out of the local area where they are comfortable driving and know where they are going. |
| What kind of Pollyanna shit is this? Have you never driven in other states? |
| Yes always the Maryland drivers |
| Wow what a unique post. |
| LOL - even my kids will comment on the Maryland drivers always cutting people off, etc. |
| How were their running lights not on? Cars from 15 years ago had running lights. So in addition to all this lawlessness, everyone car was so old they didn’t have automatic running lights? |
People turn off the auto feature. Because they're inept at driving. And they're inept, because Maryland. |
| I was on I-95 south near Lorton and someone tried to go 3 lanes over to get to their exit. They didn't see me and I t-boned them. Caused a huge backup on I-95. |
| PP, I was in a 7-11 after the accident waiting for my ride and could see on the traffic map that the backup was still there, lol. |
+1. Just got back from a soccer game in Maryland. One SUV zoomed by me on the right shoulder when I was in heavy traffic, although it was moving. He was going so fast I really thought he was going to clip me as he cut back in. So many tailgaters even though I was in the right lane going above the speed limit, but they were so close! And the cars zigzagging in and out of lanes at very high speeds. So glad to have that drive done. |
| Blah blah blah |
