| Running for the Maryland senate. |
| I think he’d be great but the crazy right wings will say he is anti-cop l, closed schools, CRT… so I’m not sure he has a chance. |
| He’s a hard no for me. I’m not a right winger and I view him as soft on crime and anti police. |
| I am very progressive left and I don’t like him. He seems like he just has opinions without doing the research or work to support them. Also does not come off as genuine. Not a fan. |
But all those things are true, so... |
Not a crazy right wing person here. I am sick of his anti-police stance. His current legislation is built off his idea that officers are inherently evil and racist, which I simply can’t get behind. I actually know officers, so I can’t buy his argument. I won’t vote for him. |
| Big fat NO. Bad for the county, bad for the state and definitely bad for the country! |
| Nope. He destroyed mcps. |
| Jamie Raskin should run. |
+1 |
+1 don't his kids go to private school? |
Lol, nope. |
Yes, Quaker school. |
He’s not anti police, you’re off your rocker. My husband, dad and BIL are officers but they all have advanced degrees and can understand the nuances of crying like a baby because you can’t just freely beat people and ensuring accountability. You can’t just beat people and have racist policies. |
Since your family members are all officers, I’m sure you are aware that officers aren’t freely beating people, nor are they running from accountability. There isn’t a single statistic coming out of MCPD that would *remotely* support your statement. Not at all. I challenge you to find one statistic out of MCPD that shows this. Just one. I’m fairly certain you won’t be able to. This is why I won’t vote for Jawando. He promotes fallacies like the one above. His current Step Act is built off the idea that fewer police stops will make people safer because it means fewer interactions with the police. I have yet to see anything that supports this allegation. All I see is an effort that will make everybody in Montgomery County less safe. |
