| My baby brother (mid-twenties) is closing on his first home - a condo in upper NW - next week. I’m so happy for him! I’m thinking of sending him a nice houseplant and a bottle of champagne, but looking for other ideas as mine isn’t particularly creative. TIA! |

- Amazon gift card. - Home Depot gift card. (He can buy his drill and step ladder from there if he needs to) - Cash. You do not know what their lifestyle and preference is. Let them decide what they want. Still, if you want to send something along with the cash or the gift cards, my go-to small appliance gift for the kitchen is usually the dash egg cooker or a lazy fish bottle opener, because they are useful in daily life, take little space, look good, super durable, regiftable and under $20.

| A starter scrapbooking set. |
| Really nice towels. I have been a homeowner nearly 20 years and would still love some nice towels so I could get rid of all my trashed ones. |
Sorry to derail, but with all due respect, why don’t you buy yourself some nice towels? |
