The Witch Trials of JK Rowling podcast

This is one of the best podcasts that I’ve listened to recently. I had always been somewhat confused about what Rowling’s position exactly was on trans rights and this podcast does a good job of explaining it all. It definitely does well at providing a balanced and rational discussion about this hard and controversial topic.

Just started yesterday and now on Episode 3. Love it so far

Agree - terrific podcast. I really enjoyed the biographical part of it.

Yes, it’s a great discussion about opinions I think many women have but can’t talk about without being ostracized and threatened. I appreciate hearing JK Rowling’s reasons for speaking out, even if I don’t agree with all of her opinions.

It was helpful to hear the trans people explain what they were upset about. I truly could not understand why they felt insulted and it made more sense when they laid it out.

I loved this podcast and listened to it each week as it came out. They made some truly interesting points, including the state of society during the Salem Witch Trials (tl;dr an educated population and Harvard-trained judges still fell under a collective delusion).

It tells you how brainwashed our society is because every major publication has given this podcast bad reviews - lazy reviews, if you ask me! It's a thoughtful and illuminating podcast. Rowling is consistently measured in her speech and clearly has real compassion for transgender people, while also drawing the line at enabling delusion or harm.

enabling delusion

and there you have it

As someone who was almost brainwashed into thinking I was "non-binary", I love Rowling for sticking up for truth. Women with hormonal issues, disabilities, neurodivergent minds and other afflictions that make them look less "feminine", despite being deeply feminine in their hearts, are targets of this bizarre "non-binary" rhetoric. It's offensive and misogynistic.

Frankly I think there's something pretty sinister, too, in how the medical industry is sooooo eager to perform dangerous experiments on these sensitive teens in the name of "social justice". Like puberty blockers.

Rowling is the only celebrity with the courage to call it out. Many others who are as rich as she is still refuse to say a word. That alone sets her apart in my eyes.

Using the phrase twice in one post really lets us know where the PP stands and why they like the podcast. Such a time-saver!

This feels like the same person posting over and over, trying to convince us that it's ok to dislike trans people.

There is nothing in the podcast about disliking trans people.

Also, for gd's sake, go read a book about the actual witch trials some time and ask yourself if any of the people who were murdered at the time were also billionaires whose biggest complaint is that a few people on twitter don't like them.

JK Rowling is doing fine. I would really ask you to find someone else as your martyr.

This is exactly how the public gaslit JKR, who actually doesn't hate trans people.

As long as they don't expect any rights, JKR will allow trans people to exist. What else could anyone want (besides rights)?
