Happened abut 2:45 this afternoon, right across from the metro, just down the street from the 7/11.
I ran and he pushed me saying "just give me your phone" and I got up and kept running and he jumped back into the passenger seat of the car. That's my route walking home, so I took the long way to not have to head back that direction just in case. No way the kid was older than HS age. I think I'm going to keep taking my chances and not hand over a phone or wallet if this ever happens again. |
| Wow. You took some risks there. I'm glad you're OK. Please make a police report. |
| You're an idiot OP. Just because this one didn't shoot you doesn't mean the next one won't. |
| What a stupid conclusion you came to. |
| File a police report OP. |
Really? I thought about walking back to the metro and seeing if any cops were around (they are often standing right in front of the apt. building by the 7/11, but not today). What would I tell them? A skinny kid wearing a mask jumped out of a white car, but that's all I remember. |
The stat collection matters. |

That sounds terrifying, OP.
I sometimes wish a Batman figure would come save us because it’s clear the police aren’t going to do anything. |
| please report. and change the cover on your phone. |
was there any cctv or security cameras around there? If you file a police report, they can get the security recording, and ID the car. |
| Why so eager to protect your phone and wallet, OP? Sorry that happened, but you sound like a fool. I hope what they say about god protecting fools and drunks is true. |
| And they knew you had a phone because...? |
Because everybody has one? Especially when you come dressed up from the metro |
| Wait, it was my understanding that crime is vastly overrated and doesn’t actually happen |
