How long to see results

Anonymous
I want to ‘tone’ and ‘sculpt’ my body up. I’m now 5-7 and 133 lbs so don’t need to focus on weight loss. If I consistently work out for the next two months, like 5 days per week, can I reasonably expect results in that time? Should I do only strength training? What routine could I go from skinny flabby to toned as quick as possible? What about diet?

6-12 weeks

“What about diet?” - it’s all about diet. Lose weight and you will look “toned” even without exercise.

Such BS. When I was running I was down to 114 and I didn’t look toned at all. I used to say I was fake skinny.

Strength training. Just strength. You don’t need to walk run do cardio Make sure you stretch or do yoga on rest days.
Remove sugar from your diet. You’ll look great in 2 months!

This! Do Caroline Girvan’s 6 week Iron series then her 2 week Beastmode. Warm up 5-10 min, 30 min workout includes 5 min cool down. If you want, do her 10 min abs add on.

It all depends on the condition of your skin...if you were never heavy then you have a good chance of getting where you want to be. If you have tight skin it will be easy, flabby but not extra skin will be so-so.

I have the same ht/wt but due to being highly obese for a short time in the past I am not going to get where I want to be unless under the knife and I dont want to do that due to medical issues.

Lifting weights is what you need. But be forewarned, it takes years to shift your body composition and gain significant muscle.

how many years /months working out how many times daily?

Alternate weightlifting days with something like vinyasa yoga, Pilates, or Barre. Brisk walk each morning. The weights need to be heavy (eg, you should be working to the brink of failure in 3 sets).

Depending on your body type, 2 months seems reasonable to see a bit of difference—especially as you’re starting thin and muscle will be more evident. But make sure you’re listening to your body. Working out hard when you’re not fit should be gradual, or you’re going to risk injuring yourself.
