My 8th grader daughter had to go to the clinic today because they learned that they might banned TikTok….:…..
dear lord |
| Welp, that's a clear sign she's too addicted and must be stripped of all social media. Drama queen era is peak 8th grade. |
Yes, it’s so hard not to laugh about it. |
|
Your daughter has an addiction to social media.
TikTok is especially engineered to addict people; particularly teen minds. |
| Who is “they?” |
|
Virginia is the latest to ban TikTok entirely:

More than 5 years ago, the entire US military banned TikTok, as it is a recognized threat. - people seriously still give it to their children??? WTF ?!? |
| Read this story. TikTok is horrifying. https://nypost.com/2023/03/08/i-pretended-to-be-a-girl-14-on-tiktok-heres-what-happened/ |

The ban is possibly on government devices - no private devices. So much drama LOL
Tik tok is starting a 1 hour max on user’s accounts who are under 18. They also have family sharing. But I am sure it will be easy to get around. I love tik tok. It’s a lot less worse than Snap, Send It, and IG. |
Your FYP is made up of what people you follow and what you spend the most time on. I am on my DD16 account all of the time and her FYP is her friends, make-up and hair tutorials, relation issues, homework, college, and parent complaints. And lots of dances and her two favorite sports. |
Yup and we are still alive and breathing! |
Off government devises is not entirely? LOL |
| Is there like a camp or something someplace where theres no cell phones and where kids can go and just detox from their phones? |
Yes it’s called your house when you set appropriate boundaries. |
+1. My kids don’t have those. They have limited time on TikTok and I see their feeds. They don’t use all their time each day and certainly wouldn’t need to go to the clinic if something happened to it. I think most parents have never actually seen it and just read news articles about it. |
