Hi, my daughter’s BFF received an invite to interview about a week ago and we haven’t heard anything. Has everyone who is being interviewed received an invite or should we be patient? My daughter has a 3.8 GPA so I thought that would be high enough for interviews but maybe the cut off is higher this year? Would love to hear any intel.

All of the interviews I have heard about so far came from 4.0's. I think only one round went out just before Feb break

Yeah, have only heard of 4.0s receiving invitations at this point. DD didn't have a 4.0 so we're not expecting an interview.

Could anyone who applied last year weigh in?

Last year, did they send another round of emails after the first ones?

The cut-off has been a lot lower than 4.0 in recent years.

Not a lot - last year my DD with a 3.75 did not get an interview.

I think last year all invites went out at the same time. I don't recall there being rounds.

Grades have been inflated since Covid ended. I wouldn't be surprised if a 4.0 was needed.

Last year interview invitations went out in waves. I would call on Tuesday and ask if all invitations have gone out.

I don’t know last year if notices went out in rounds, however I do remember people sharing that they got an email saying they would not be invited to interview, so if you haven’t gotten that maybe there is still a possibility that more are coming?

It was almost a month from when we got the initial email about being invited to interview to when we actually had the interviews, just FYI.

interviews are this coming saturday and the following saturday FYI. seems very soon for some interview invitations to still be sent.

Maybe the school is dispensing with the "interview" pretext this year and just lining them all up against a wall and picking the ones they like best? Might be more intellectually honest than a standard less 10 minute "interview".

All the interviewers needed to take unconscious bias training
