I ate an unhealthy fast food meal for lunch and I feel terrible

Anonymous
First time in years. Burger with curly fries. Since then I have had an uncomfortable stomach, unpleasant time in the bathroom, feeling very sluggish and lying down. How do people survive eating this regularly? Luckily it was the weekend so I could be lazy. If I had to work I would not have been able to be productive. I am by no means the world’s healthiest eater, but I think I will never do this again.

This might be the most passive-aggressive, judgmental, pat-yourself-on-the-back post, all rolled in one, that I've ever seen on here.

Yes, I ate at 5 Guys for a belated 3pm lunch after a hectic morning. Felt greasy and sleepy afterward, just as expected. But it was delicious in the moment.

What did you expect, OP? Are you an alien from outer space that just today discovered junk food?

No one cares.

Different people are different. Some people “survive” eating like that regularly be abuse they don’t feel what you felt when you ate what you ate.

Or you know, what’s all they can afford / that’s all that’s in their neighborhood.

Praying for you!

It’s in your head. It’s made of the same protein, carbs, and fat as a steak with roasted potatoes and a roll. You’ve just convinced yourself it’s bad for you and are having a psychosomatic response.

If you haven't eaten high fat in a long time, it's a shock to the system.

Maybe your gallbladder isn't so good? You might want to get a lipase test.

Well I ate like 15 mini snickers today and I feel pretty great, actually.

Yeah because fast food is so cheap now. (Nice try though)

Wendy's curly fries? With horse radish sauce? OMG. I used to love it once-upon-a-time. Now I am 30 yrs older. With health problems. Post COVID, vaxxed, genetic problems are starting to show up, doing doom scrolling instead of downwards facing dog....SO, next time, eat a small healthy salad first, pop a metformin, and then eat the burger and fries.

Still cheaper than buying salmon, salad, and rice from even the cheapest of grocery stores....and obviously fast food fills you up and is satisfying (unlike, say, a lighter healthy meal).
