DA vs ECNL vs everything else

Not so sure about that. Bloom is of the rose for some 04 gda players after they got a sniff this year but I suppose that is true for anything new. The sooner one or the other of or these leagues prevails the better.

I question the insanity of the money grab infrastructure but do recognize that DA and ECNL offer a great experience for some girls. Fot those who can't afford it, don't live near a DA/ECNL club or don't have either the time or resources to travel up and down I-95 every weekend, there are other great teams which included Arlington and Loudon. BTW, there are six GU-17 teams from the DMV ranked in the top 25 and only two are ECNL and one of those, Bethesda, is ranked at the bottom. Navy Premier, Mclean, Arlington, FC Frederick, Loudon and Bethesda are all nationally ranked. Even if you assumed that all DA programs are ranked ahead of them which is nonsense, they are still ranked among the top teams in the nation. They are elite and you are a moron.

Beat it. Go play for Navy Premier.

You cant make this ish up

I watched the DA showcase event and although I felt some of the players were very strong, there are several DMV teams in the U-17 age group that would at the very least compete very strongly and more than likely would beat them. Arlington and Loudon were not invited into DA and ECNL, respectively because they are bad teams. They were selected because they produce teams that compete with and beat the top teams in the nation. There are still others teams that are not joining ECNL and DA and those teams will remain competitive and strong enough to beat any DA or ECNL teams. DA is not for everyone. If you don't live near he practice or your girl is a multi-sport athlete, DA is not in the cards. That being said, it is a great option for some girls. I just hate these fools who try to oversell it. Remember that Bethesda declined DA. They might join down the road but they did not and have not.

How would that work for BSC? Why would DA need BSC unless they did something like Arlington(lower age groups only)?

Arlington got DA because VDA gave it up
LOUDOUN got ECNL because FCV gave it up

Neither club has history of de toveloping elite teams. Go pound sand CCL goof.

so says the turd that doesn't flush

In Virginia. This is perhaps the only market in contention. So, while some 03s and above won't move over, those that are smart enough do and have. For them, they will face the best competition this country has to offer outside of Va, and gain in development opportunities because of it.

US Soccer always wins. They have the power, money and resources. For those old enough to remember, many a club fought the boys' DA too.

Are you people reading what you wrote? Yes, the Boys DA dominate's but there was not another national league in place. In addition, it was free for many players.

Have the MLS also run funded academies for the girls and the debate will be settled. That would be a really significant difference.

Bipolar thoughts again.

If DA was free it would be good. But its not so it's trash.

Prior to DA everyone on that level payed ECNL prices for a lesser product.

Ecnl parents who switched to DA are not surprised by the sticker cost.

If Harvard is too expensive then send your child to NOVA community college. A degree is a degree. Right?

College is a useless money crab as well..is it not?

I can make 100 arguments either way. It's pointless.

Ikr? Harvard, gda.... same....creme de la creme. Why can't folks see that?

Average Cost of DA: 7-8 K per year
Average cost of ECNL: 7-8 k per year
Average cost of whatever travel team: 4-5 K per year

Yearly Savings: 3k to 4k savings per year.
Five year savings: (8th to 12th grade), $20,000

Now you make the choice. As far as price goes, ECNL and DA are the same.
