Nobody is changing their vote because some comedian many people have never heard of made a bad joke hours before Trump took the stage.

This isn't about changing votes at this point. Everybody has made their choice and millions have actually already voted. It's getting out the vote.

For the millions and millions and millions that already know Trump is a jackass, this helps seal the deal that they need to get out there and vote about it.

I actually do think the "jokes" about Latinos and Puerto Rico could actually sway votes.

It's easy if those comments are not about you or your home to say "whatever, it was just a joke and Trump didn't actually say it." If those comments are ABOUT you, or about where you grew up or where your family lives, it's not possible to do that.

I think there are Puerto Ricans and Latinos who were planning to vote for Trump for economic reasons who will now change to Harris or not vote because they are too personally offended. Those jokes were really egregious. I think they are enough to sway votes.

Huh? Everybody knows that the editorial boards endorsed Harris. The billionaire owners wimped out and wouldn't let them print it but everybody knows that's who they endorsed.

In fact, a lot more people know that these editorial boards chose Harris, then would have known if the owners had had enough balls to just publish it.

What I think is a danger sign for Harris is that the billionaire owners each had a different reason for not endorsing her. It’s not that they both were afraid of Trump.

Agreed. People pay attention to stuff like this. Would you vote for someone who has allowed his surrogates and supporters to say hateful things about your race or ethnicity or gender in a huge stage? Most people would not.

the editorial boards of both of those papers endorsed Harris for anyone that thinks that is useful information . Everybody knows it even though the endorsements got squashed by the billionaires.

The jokes were enough to get many Latinos and Hispanics off the sidelines. I have a buddy who hates “the Uniparty” was not planning to vote out of protest. But he’s very proud of his 5th generation Mexican-California heritage. The Trump rally pushed him to openly supporting Trump on social media.

You don’t bash someone’s cultural heritage like that in a national political rally.

No one who is basing their vote off of economic reasons will change their vote because a guest speaker said something stupid and racist. Only privileged people think this way.

Economic reasons? Unless you want the economy to go down the toilet, do not choose trump.

Harris will win. Men keep underestimating women's ability to unite. Women's support for Harris in my opinion is undercounted by the polls.

Trump can also win. We will find out in a week.

Lol. Women voted for the sexual predator against Hillary. There is no reason to think they won't do it again.
The women that think abortion is a huge issue are already voting Democrat. The other women just do not care about that topic

Trump has driven away many votes since 2016 and 2020. And there is a new crop of young voters out there. I know My young Harris supporters are ready and excited to vote for her in their first presidential election.

He hasn't driven away a single vote. You literally just made that up

So why did he lose in 2020?

How stupid are you? Did he get more votes in 2016 or 2020?
He lost because he wasn't running against a woman.

You should be more careful calling others stupid. Orange felon was a loser then and will be a loser again.

Women have spoken loud and clear. You just aren't listening. They do not want a woman president. See 2016 for all the evidence you need

Yep. And for all of those not listening the first time, you are about to be told again! Women will demand to be heard this time. NO WOMEN PRESIDENTS!

Both men and women have to acclimate to the idea of a woman in the White House. I don't know if Harris will win or not but people are way more comfortable with the idea than they were 8 years ago. You saw this with Obama too. People are uncomfortable with a "first" for president right up until the minute they aren't. There was a time when people didn't think we'd ever elect an Irish Catholic for president. There were people who though the idea of a film actor becoming president was absurd. Then a reality star. All these things happened and now they are viewed as things that can happen and no one even discusses if the country is "ready" for them.

We wil have a female president. I don't know that it's going to be this year (I hope so) but I do know it will happen. It gets more likely every day.

Kamala Harris is also notably not Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton was a divisive figure for almost 30 years in America politics. There are people who really, really hate her and who have felt that way for decades. Those people would have crawled through broken glass to vote against her.

Since then we've had several women competitively run for President, and we've had a female VP - a first. We are in a different place with having a woman as President than we were in 2016.

Gender aside, KH is a much weaker candidate than HC ever was. Even those who hated HC could not deny that she had the experience for the job. KH is the Democratic party candidate solely due to timing and virtue signaling. Enthusiasm for KH is unremarkable and her lack of preparedness for being POTUS is obvious even amongst moderates. Biden might actually have had a better chance of winning.

No. She is extremely qualified. She was Attorney General of California, a US Senator, and is Vice President of the United States. What more could she do to be qualified? She is running against a bankrupt real estate mogul/reality TV star who had zero political experience until he created this MAGA character to appeal to the country’s racist/misogynist deplorables and blackmailed the Rs into electing him President of the United States.

Harris only has 12 years of right wing echo chamber against her. Hillary had over 25 years. Hillary also was Comey'd. Harris won't have anything like that.

Hillary was a criminal that should be in jail. If anything Comey kept her out of prison.

What was her crime...improperly storing classified information? Asking for a friend.

that got people killed. Then blamed the local Muslim population for rioting about a crappy movie mocking Mohammed.

I don’t think she should be in jail. However, No one involved in that catastrophe should be able to work in the govt again.
