lol, your games are obvious to anyone with the least bit of common sense. DPR and DCPL did not request to raze their existing buildings and downsize their facilities. |
They are not downsizing in terms of usable space and programming, no matter how much you want to propagate this lie as a means by which to garner support for your cause. As has been explained, the current facilities have a lot of wasted and unusable space that is factored into the total square footage count. The experts at both DPR and DCPL have indicated how much space they need to achieve their programming goals for the community, but somehow, you seem to know more and better than they do? Please, do tell. |
Hillarious and ridiculous all in one. Why are you simping so hard for this? You sound like Trump talking about the Reflecting Pool. |
False. You are creating a false narrative and banging it into the ground. Facts are facts and you are making up your own. Why are you choosing to create and perpetrate something that is provably false? |
Lol, it is 100% true that both the library and community center are being downsized, the available facilities are being downgraded (auditorium, full floor children's library, outdoor recreational facilities, public parking and mature cherry trees) and public access will be limited. You might think the tradeoff is worth it but don't expect people to accept your blatant spin without pushback. |
Yes, they will be smaller than they are now. there is a ,ot of wasted space that won't be included in the new facilities. We have already covered that ground. Don't ask me, ask the experts at DPR and DCPL, the requested square footage is from their work for this site. Yet, you keep banging the drum on this. Aksed and answered. There will be more outdoor recreational facilities by square footage than there is now. There will be more public parking than there is now. The heritage trees on site will still be there, it is illegal to cut down heritage trees. Public access will be as much after the site is finished as it is today. There is really nothing factual about your post, other than hyperbole and conjecture. But keep spreading your lies. It does a lot to support your cause. |

"Don't ask me, ask the experts at DPR and DCPL".... No. They were asked a long list of questions about this, said publicly they'd post answers on their site and never did. There's a lot more nuance to the use of the space than simple square footage. No one doubts there are inefficiencies from a building built years ago. The question is whether community needs will be met. This is still unclear. It might be hard for the PP to sit with nuance and uncertainty but that's actually where we are today.
"There will be more outdoor recreational facilities by square footage than there is now." No one asked to cram a stroller into a busy elevator so they can go enjoy astroturf on a roof..so to keep banging this drum as you say, is ludicrous. "There will be more public parking than there is now." No. Not clear for the public, that there will be more spaces available to them after the ones reserved for residents of 150-200 apartments. No clarity yet on this at all. "The heritage trees on site will still be there, it is illegal to cut down heritage trees." I hope so. "Public access will be as much after the site is finished as it is today." Kind of yes and kind of no. There will be retail fronting Conn ave --one could call that public access but its not quite accurate. "There is really nothing factual about your post, other than hyperbole and conjecture. But keep spreading your lies. It does a lot to support your cause." Projection is a well known psychological process that reveals much more about the accuser than the accused. |

Are there any heritage trees there now?
I don't think Yoshino Cherry Blossoms ever have a trunk circumference > 100". |
"* Heritage tree is a private tree with a circumference of 100 inches or more." - https://trees.dc.gov/pages/tree-preservation#special Lol, of course. Shameless dissembling. |
| the tree at the corner of northhampton and CT ave will be preserved - it is a heritage tree. |
