Sure, let’s pass out guns in schools. That will keep kids safe. |
Get a grip. |
Well, I’ve had a few beers so hopefully this is coherent. ![]() 1) Jan 6th was <10 months ago and the GOP continues to push The Big Lie. They have been pushing restrictions on voters and election officials. https://www.theregreview.org/2021/09/21/spencer-the-false-flag-of-political-accountability-in-election-reform/ How long did it take Youngkin to say Biden won the election? Months. 2) The GOP - and Youngkin - want to restrict abortions. For example, Y said that he would support a ban of abortions past 20 weeks. Shocking that he even said that given that he’s hiding his true intentions. “I just want Virginians to know I will stand for life,” he added, saying “these are not squishy issues. These are absolute issues.” “When I’m governor and I have a majority in the House, we can start going on offense. But as a campaign topic, sadly, that in fact won’t win my independent votes that I have to get. 3) The GOP has been fighting transgender rights. Republicans are attempting to connect the rape/assault in LoCo to transgender bathrooms. Youngkin has implied this as well. Youngkin has also said he doesn’t support marriage equality. 4) Youngkin was pushing “election integrity” as a top priority, supporting Trump’s Big Lie. Again, it took him months to admit Biden won. He’s pushing other GOP lies about CRT, etc: “So on day one, we are going to ban teaching critical race theory in our schools” I reject any candidate who hasn’t denounced the current GOP crazy, let alone embrace it as Youngkin has. |
PP made claims about the GOP he/she/they couldn’t back up. You chose to deflect from the BS claim by making another BS claim that you can’t back up either. Please provide citation that Youngkin will ban abortions. Thanks! |
Because she said she’d support a heartbeat ban on abortion? |
I posted a clarification *almost immediately* after I posted that. And a few times since. Try to keep up. |
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/570859-virginia-gop-lieutenant-governor-nominee-says-she-would-support-heartbeat Virginia Republican lieutenant gubernatorial nominee Winsome Sears said on Friday that she would support heartbeat abortion legislation amid the fallout over a Texas law that bans abortion as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. "Well, I can tell you that would be me, that I would support [it]," Sears told Newsmax on Friday. |
Lieutenant Governors don’t make decisions/laws like this on their own. Get a clue. |
![]() I can't wait to see the links I just know you're going to provide! |
LG has the tie-breaking vote in the senate when needed. That could be very significant over the next couple of years, including on abortion. |
