Full Disclosure - I don't care about Royals and Harry but it seems to me that the young man has completely lost his mind. I suppose he needs to make money but backstabbing his own family is not the best way to earn it. Then I hear he wants to reconcile with his brother/father? Are you f'king kidding me?? What is he thinking?? |
He was thinking he needed to fund their luxury lifestyle, and wanted to air out the life-long resentments that intensified in recent years. He has a history of impulsiveness plus self-destructive and self-centered behavior, so this is really just more of the same. |
He's making a living on complaining. It's his chosen profession. He's killing it.
|
I honestly think he is pretty severely mentally ill. It's so clear that he has not at all healed from his mother's death and carries around a lot of baggage about the rest of his family. |
This is my take, too. He clearly didn’t learn the rule of never complain, never explain. |
If you actually watch the 60 Minutes segment, he comes across as totally reasonable, sincere and mentally healthy.
That might be novel for the Royal Family, but that does not make them functional. I think exposure to someone with a different culture and upbringing opened his eyes, as did therapy. What his family makes of his progress (as a human) in another story. (To those who are not following: he says he went public because after his private attempts to hash things out with them, the "firm" would always leak their side to the press. So, he figures he will use this mechanism to get out his version. Even to communicate with his family members. It could backfire, but he explained himself well.) |
Yes. It's really sad.
I am so over-saturated like everyone else in the world. And now Meghan is going to write a book too apparently. I mean, the Oprah interview, the 6-part Netflix documentary, his book, the Strahan interview, the Anderson Cooper interview.... ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My god, it's awful. It's like watching a huge train wreck. And the laundry and stuff he's revealing. He has completely cutoff every friend and family member in the UK. How isolating. And, Meghan comes from a family with similar dysfunction and history of cutting family members out. I worry about him. He's here now with only her. That's not healthy. He has zero close friends here and nobody to lean on outside of Meghan and when that relationship goes belly up (with two children of severe dysfunction and a second marriage for her it likely will), I have no idea what will happen to him or what he's capable of doing. |
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt |
I’m so glad he is calling out the toxic insane life of “the royals”.
I wish ever person treated like sh!t by their family could do the same. It’s so refreshing after the holidays when so many had to deal with their insane ralatives. Why is all of this supposed to be in the dark, bring it to the light. |
Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. |
He has to make money somehow. Grandma died with a billion dollar estate and it's all going to a single grandkid. |
I don't know. Say it to THEM and move on. I'm really against airing every perceived family wrong in public. And, let's face it, everyone in the family has a completely different take on what happened--even when they experienced it together. My family was happy--but I see now in our 50s my siblings and I differ on some past events and how we interpret them. |
He sounds like someone who is married to a narcissist. Ask me how i Know. |
From my casual observing, it seems he has been thrown under the bus his entire life by his family, mainly because he wasn't the heir and Charles/William were. And now that he's out, he is effing tired of it.
Concentrate more the way the royal family operates with the press than anything else. It's really toxic and he's calling it out since he's been the victim. He's a social disruptor. Never an easy path to blaze. But honestly, so was his mother. |
I think he’s very well spoken and articulate.
It’s interesting because he supposedly wasn’t a very good student. Didn’t go to university. But he’s very articulate. Clearly he gained something from Eton, or media training, or he’s just pretty smart. Makes me think he has learning disabilities that he wasn’t accommodated for sufficiently at his fancy private schools. |
