Besides GW, does anyone know of full merit scholarships awarded or available? Do you have to apply specifically for them or are you automatically considered?
Thanks. |
| Michigan State. You are invited to compete (Alumni Distinguished Scholarship). |

If the student has a 4.0 and a 36 ACT or 1600 SAT, they qualify for the "Presidential Elite" scholarship at University of Alabama. Full tuition for 8 semesters plus some other stipends.

I think this is also the case if they are a Natl Merit Semi Finalist. |
| Washington & Lee Johnson Scholarship, UVA Jefferson Scholarship, Boston College Gabelli Scholarship, UPittt Chancellor’s Scholarship - obviously, all are very competitive. |
| Vanderbilt has one. |
| University of Chicago and Case Western offer a couple. You must apply. Georgia Tech also offers a couple totally grade based and likely go to GA residents. |
| UMD Banneker Key - automatically considered. |
Washington and Lee. It’s very competitive. |
I know someone who did that. They transferred to William and Mary after one year |
| Very competitive but WashU, Duke, Vanderbilt, USC, Emory, UNC, and Notre Dame. Check out the Stamps Scholars program. I also know some kids attending Arizona State and University of Arizona on full tuition scholarships. |
| New Mexico |
It sounds like they ended up paying 30k less for their W&M degree |
This is correct. There isn’t a separate application, but you have to apply by Nov 1 to be considered. |
| Op almost all schools (other than Ivy) have it. It’s not a question of if but rather how many slots. |
