| Any tried-and-true, good snacks/meals to take on a plane? Got some travel coming up and I'm just totally over airport food. |
| I live for airport food. Sorry, can’t help you. I wouldn’t pack any darn snacks. |
| I pack a sandwich. I like to make my own italian sub. I also pack oranges and chips. I don't like airport or airplane food. |

-Granola bars or Kind bars
-Chips -Popcorn -Fruit |
| Serious question: isn’t this the same as asking yourself what snacks to bring anywhere? |
| Smelly cheese and fragrant salmi. |
Except you need something that complies with security screening. But yes, shouldn't be that hard to adapt what you normally snack on for travel. |
You can take any food through security...it's liquids/drinks you can't bring. |
Cheese can be difficult to get through security. My aunt tried to bring a hunk of parmesan cheese through a few years ago and was flagged. The TSA tore her carryon apart and swabbed the cheese and her arms to test for explosives. One of the officers did not believe her when she said it was cheese. It turns out that blocks of cheese can look like explosives on the x-ray. They held up the line for 10 minutes to search her! They ultimately did not confiscate it but she learned her lesson. Cheese in checked bag only from then on. |
Unless your food is shaped like a football and wrapped in many layers of aluminum foil. You CAN bring that through security, but will spend an extra 30-60 minutes at the check point while they unwrap and inspect it. I learned that the hard way, travelling through Atlanta with a Yule Log at Christmas a few years ago. But generally, I agree. I don't know why this is a question. My go-to snack for travel is Kind Bars. My friend who works there told me they took a huge hit during COVID shutdowns because a huge part of their sales is from airport/train station/gas station sales. |

Rx bars. Trail
Mix. Whatever you do, do not bring the tuna salad snack pack. So gross |
| Somebody here recently said cuties or oranges on a long haul flight and I thought that was so smart. A nice fresh snack, pleasant smell. |

cuties
apple air popped popcorn mixed with dark choc goji berries or other treat Baby Bel cheese sandwich I like snacky items rather than just packing one meal. Avoid nuts and smelly foods. |
This is a little dramatic, no? I’ve brought cheese on many times and many kinds and have never had an issue. |

Common sense dictates non perishable foods (why are people suggesting tuba salad? ).
The options for non perishable snacks foods is endless. Walk into a grocery store. |
