Except you need something that complies with security screening. But yes, shouldn't be that hard to adapt what you normally snack on for travel.

You can take any food through security...it's liquids/drinks you can't bring.

Cheese can be difficult to get through security. My aunt tried to bring a hunk of parmesan cheese through a few years ago and was flagged. The TSA tore her carryon apart and swabbed the cheese and her arms to test for explosives. One of the officers did not believe her when she said it was cheese. It turns out that blocks of cheese can look like explosives on the x-ray. They held up the line for 10 minutes to search her! They ultimately did not confiscate it but she learned her lesson. Cheese in checked bag only from then on.

She should’ve just wrapped it up and pretended it was a baby.

I like the dried mango from Whole Foods. They sell snack packs. Also the little nut snack packs from Trader Joe’s.

If it’s 3+ hour flight over a lunch or dinner hour I make a hummus wrap with cucumber, feta and tomatoes. I also buy some nuts/chip with a few bottles of sparking water at the airport.

FYI - squeeze pouches like applesauce can get flagged by TSA, too. Luckily they were in a front pocket of my backpack, so she didn’t have to remove everything.

My 2 priorities when choosing snacks:
1. It doesn’t smell. One lady sat next to me eating a bag of balogna slices once. Don’t do that.
2. No cleanup required. I’m not washing out any containers when I get to my destination. Reusable water bottles are the only thing I’m willing to deal with on trips.

1. Trail Mix - easy to snack on, nuts have protein, can add dried fruits/chocolate for sweetness.
2. Clementines/apples
3. Cheese sticks
4. Protein bars

As if eggs aren't smelly enough, you'll be having egg farts at 20, 000 ft. I feel bad for the people sitting around you.

Don't eggs need to be refrigerated??

This is a little dramatic, no?

I’ve brought cheese on many times and many kinds and have never had an issue.

You can never be too dramatic about “Snacks on a Plane!” Mother F-er!

Just buy a Mac Donald’s salad once you are past security
How long is your flight? Can you not sit a few hours without eating?

Eggs only smell if overcooked. And they don’t make you fart.

I bring
Veggie sushi
Blueberries/raspberries
Trail mix

Occasionally if it’s a short trip and I have leftovers to make a Buddha bowl or big salad, I’ll do that.

I would invite you into my marriage bed after DH has had a few hard boiled eggs earlier in the day and tell me otherwise. Same with chili.

As the parent of a severely peanut and tree nut allergic kid, please please please do not bring peanuts or nuts as plane snacks. Even if you don’t care about the well being of someone else, imagine how inconvenienced you will be when we have to divert for an emergency landing because your peanuts caused anaphylaxis. Also, before some responds “don’t fly,” severe allergies are a protected disability under federal law.

Some alternate suggestions: apples and cheese, turkey sandwich, non-nut containing energy bar.

Beef jerky or shelf-stable sausage sticks
Popcorn
Dried fruit
Clementines or apple slices
Trail mix or granola bars
Chocolate

Don’t snack.
