My aunt tried to bring a hunk of parmesan cheese through a few years ago and was flagged. The TSA tore her carryon apart and swabbed the cheese and her arms to test for explosives. One of the officers did not believe her when she said it was cheese. It turns out that blocks of cheese can look like explosives on the x-ray. They held up the line for 10 minutes to search her! They ultimately did not confiscate it but she learned her lesson. Cheese in checked bag only from then on. [/quote]
