The spinelessness of the GOP never fails. There is no downside to McConnell, Murkowski and Collins stopping the insanity and voting down Patel, Hegseth and Gabbard. They should insist that Wray serve out his 10 year term and that the executive branch return to the apolitical 10 year FBI director terms started with Nixon (and destroyed by Trump firing Comey).

I wonder about them. What drew them to public service in the first place? Do they not value their responsibilities as senators? What stories do they tell themselves to justify their cowardice?
